Martindale-Hubbell is the facilitator of a peer review process that rates lawyers. Ratings reflect the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary. Martindale-HubbellSM Ratings fall into two categories-legal ability and general ethical standards. Legal Ability Ratings are: C, Good to High; B, High to Very High; and A, Very High to Pre-eminent. There is one General Ethical Standards Rating-V or Very High-and an attorney must receive it in order to be rated.

 Denise Lariviere graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1982. After practicing nursing in the Los Angeles area in the field of high-risk obstetrics, she entered the Law Center at the University of Southern California, graduating in 1987. She has prior experience in the defense of products liability cases and in hospital defense. Ms. Lariviere is a Sustaining Member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Consumer Attorneys of California. She is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. |
